The Disaster Recovery Center is not yet up and running.  People should not go to this location at this time.  The Disaster Recovery Center encourages people to pre-register online at www.fema.gov.  

As soon as they have phones and computers and are better able to handle a large influx of people, the Office of Emergency Preparedness will let you know.

The Salvation Army has a desperate need for TABLES and SHELVING at the old Sam’s Club on Jewella. Please, if you know of an organization with tables to loan, contact them about this very important need.     

JOB FAIR LOOKS TO BE A SUCCESS

Hundreds of evacuees are streaming into Shreveport’s Expo Hall this afternoon for the City of Shreveport job fair. More than 94 businesses were set up to take resumes and personal information. Any business with jobs available should contact the Louisiana Department of Labor at 318-676-7788 to get them listed in the database.
