What is the Ark-La-Tex Emergency Management Alliance and Regional Planning Committee?
The Ark-La-Tex Emergency Management Alliance is a non-profit multi-state organization of emergency preparedness and response practitioners with the common goal of improving public safety during emergencies. Ark-La-Tex EMA was formed in the early 90s and formalized in 2003 by a group of emergency preparedness professionals who recognized the need to expand and incorporate, as much as possible, everyone in emergency service into a cohesive and productive organization.
